Senior officers from the US and Qatar’s prime minister joined the third day of oblique peace talks between Israel and Hamas, with figures from each side of the battle expressing cautious optimism with the negotiations’ progress. Hamas handed over an inventory of Palestinians held in Israeli prisons that the militant group needs launched in alternate for liberating the remaining hostages in Gaza.
