Department 235, also called the Palestine Department, was probably the most infamous prisons run by the Syrian army intelligence providers throughout the Assad period. Situated on the outskirts of Damascus, its identify, “Far Falastin”, in Arabic, was sufficient to ship shivers down the spines of Syrians. The jail’s labyrinthian underground chambers have but to disclose all their secrets and techniques, that are important for bringing justice and Syria’s future stability.
