A strike launched by the US navy killed two individuals on an alleged drug-trafficking vessel within the Pacific Ocean, US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth mentioned on Wednesday. The most recent strike marks an enlargement of what US President Donald Trump described as an “armed battle” with South America’s drug cartels that has, till now, focused vessels within the Caribbean.
